Dear colleagues

During this year’s MEN workshop a new session has been dedicated to the presentation of brief case reports describing rare syndromes and new combinations of endocrine neoplasias and other lesions: information about such combinations as well as communication of such cases to other colleagues may lead to the discovery and identification of new genetic associations and/or syndromes.

Please submit (by email) 1 short paragraph describing your case which either has a combination of unusual tumours in the context of a well established disease entity (or in the context of a mutation in a known endocrine tumor gene) or has an unusual combination of endocrine (and possibly other) tumors to Dr. Barbara Pasini (Chair of the committee for this activity), e-mail: barbara.pasini@unito.it  (and cc’ to Drs. Stratakis and Alevizaki) by September 2, 2008. You will be notified soon afterwards, if your case was accepted for a brief (up to 5 minutes) presentation of the case during this special session of the MEN2008. Otherwise all such cases will form the basis for a new registry that we intend to start within the activities of this new (and hopefully continuing) MEN workshop.

We look forward to receiving your special case and to your participating in this Workshop.

Sincerely
